ABOUT

PLUS Teatar is NGO for theatre production and for cultural exchange between Serbian Theatre artists and artists around the Globe.

PLUS Teatar has been established on October 2007 in town Novi Sad (Serbia) and registered by Serbian Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self Government as Non Government Organization, which activities are production of theater plays, performances, films and other forms of arts expressions. President of PLUS Teatar is Strahinja Bojovic, actor in Serbian National Theater.

In managing group of this organization are ambitious and creative people, who are ready to realize every task. PLUS Teatar orientates to young people and their problems, and main target group are those people.

Years of isolation and long period, which our culture passed are the reason, because our system of values, people's perception and human relationships have changed.

Partnership with foreign artists are one of main goals of PLUS Teatar. This partnership considers also presentation of our artists abroad.

PLUS Teatar is trying to see public-social situation and to criticize different problems using theater methods.

We think, that is really important to allude young people to share knowledge, exchange experiences, to socialize on global level and to make a partnership with other and different people. This is base for progress.

This idea leads to young people and want to help them to change their experiences with other artists and improve theater life in our country.

This project`s aim is to awaken and animate; first and foremost,the young people, who were living in insolation for a long period of time, to spark their creativity, determination, and self awareness of their posibillities,to show courage, while being self aware of their values, to show the world that they want socialization with it,and that they want to share their experience with other people and learn from other peoples experiences as well, to share and learn in interaction with other people from all over the world, to spread positive human relations which are te precondition for sucess.We want to educate through art, and give them thier self esteem back.

The project considers realization and production of the theater play "Effects" , based on Michael Vukadinovich` s text. The production will be organized by NGO Plus Teatar from Novi Sad. In project are involved motivated professional theater actors from Serbian National Theater, Novi Sad. All of them want to show and present helped by modern dramas new tendencies in Novi Sad`s theater life. Michael Vukadinovich` s text reaches easy on very humors, dramatic and layered way to theater audience. It knows how truly to bring out critical points and to describe reality around us allow for modern form.

The story happens in theater sound cabin during the theater play. Frank, Colin and George are technical stuff in uninviting situation. In clash, one of them accidentally damages sound mixer board and they are constrained to make by themselves special effects (especially for farmyard scene). When the situation on the stage gets really wrong, they come to play roles instead actors. Before these there are lots of comical complications about Franks girlfriend, which is actress on stage. Every time, when she is out of imagined stage, all tree of them are talking some jokes and roomers about her. Cramped ambience and workspace of sound cabin are changes from ring, confessional to the dark chamber, when they star to suspect, that their actress is in a relationship with author in audience. Three characters are trying for the first time in their life to do something, that is result of their sturdiness, to run the blockade and successfully to go on the stage. During that process they are in conflicts, appeasement and friendship.

Michael Vukadinovich` s drama speaks about man, who is free to choose, about limits, that you have to cross over, when you want to find yourself and the world around you. Tone cabin is metaphor for hermetic, closed world, that looks like a box. Only way to find yourself and open to communicate with your audience is to came on the stage and speak loud in front of them. After that we are satisfied with ourselves and startling about new things that you can see and experience. Without that deportment we are going to stay forever in sound cabin with our problems, ambitions, ideas, hopes and possibility for success.

Rehearsals are going to be in Serbian National Theater. On this way SNT is supporting the realization of this project. We know very well that is important to collaborate with medias on this project. The premiere is going to be announced in all television and radio stations and daily- newspapers. We sincerely hope, that author is going to be present on press conference, a day before premiere. Every time, there will be announced in all medias about time and date of theater play.

GOALS

High- level theater performance, which clearly shows authors thoughts and directors idea. The theme alone is presenting by audience positive deportments, because it comprehends world around it on a comic way. Aspects between characters in play are showing that we can be only happy and satisfied with ourselves our lives, when we have good friendships and stability and when we are open mind too. Only on this way we can present ourselves to the world and be accepted.

We are planning to visit with these play as many as possible theaters in our country and region, to apply on theater festivals in country and aboard. We are expecting Mr. Vukadinovich on premiere and in conversation with him we came on idea for him to organize lectures and play - writing workshop. The Academy of Arts is going to give us classrooms and stage for workshop.

We think that is really useful for play- writing students and others to improve and exchange their experiences during the visit and lectures of Mr. Vukadinovich.

Other goals :

We also want to make web presentation (web site). On this way people, who are interested in it can be informed about this project, about actions, goals and those, who gave finance help.
